Job Description:
Manage the Intercompany Process, the Fixed Asset Process, Intangibles Process, Agency Billing Process, month end closing, projections, property tax returns and other ad hoc requirements. Serve as a Finance point of contact with other Stryker Divisions/Location:s. Complete special projects for executive management. Provide direct supervision to two accountants.
Qualifications/Work Experience: • 5-9 years experience in a business finance environment; prefer experience in both public and private accounting
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint; prefer proficiency in Access
- 1-3 years experience leading accounting professionals
- Prefer applied knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise or HFM and Oracle
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
- Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze financial statements/other data in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, communicate (both verbally and in writing), and present financial information
- Demonstrated ability to provide internal customer service
- Supervise two accountants performing intercompany billings and fixed asset close.
- Prepare monthly analysis of accrued A/P indicating the components that make up the account balance.
- Upon business development opportunities, assist Manager with purchase accounting reviews.
- Coordinate with Finance Organization to ensure reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
- Review and approve monthly expenses to be billed to Agencies.
- Prepare month end journal entries.
- For US based branches, ensure compliance with local requirements for filing property taxes and business licenses.
- Review and approve Process & Loss (P&L) projections related to intangible assets, fixed assets and local taxes.
- Project various balance sheet accounts.
- Coordinate with Inventory Accounting and Corporate Tax on annual transfer price adjustments.
- Work with Oracle and HFM, run various reports and inquiries.
- Manage Sarbanes Oxley Documentation.
Education and/or Special Training: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other relevant field of study; Prefer CPA and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration
